Empowering Adults, Inspiring Children: Our mission is to enable and uplift adults in our community, empowering them to forge enduring, nurturing relationships with the children in our local schools. By fostering consistent care and support, we aim to nurture each child's self-esteem and pave the way for their academic success. Through our unwavering dedication, we aspire to create a positive and transformative impact on the lives of these young minds, guiding them toward a future filled with confidence and achievement. 

More than a decade ago, an extraordinary initiative called SALT (Seek, Accept, Love, Transform) was established at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church in Carrollton, TX. Conceived by a group of compassionate individuals, this program arose from their genuine concern for the community's children and their desire to facilitate growth and support.

Though some of the original members have since moved on, this humble yet potent endeavor has evolved into a conduit for students' personal development. With each passing day, the program expands, leaving a lasting positive impact on the lives of numerous students through just a small weekly commitment.

At Connecting the Community, we take pride in keeping people connected to meaningful opportunities for supporting local students in schools. Through our efforts, we bring together volunteers and community members, empowering them to serve and make a significant difference in the lives of the local children.
